The First ICCEED Seminar in FY2011
Indonesian Higher Education in Engineering --Towards the establishment of Inter-University Cooperation--
Abstract
International Cooperation Center for Engineering Education Development (ICCEED) has been conducting international exchange and cooperation. Through active participation in global society and academia, ICCEED has been accumulating the wealth network, knowledge and experience.
The 1st ICCEED seminar in 2011 will invite Dr. Tsuyoshi Usagawa, Professor of Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kumamoto University/Visiting Professor of ICCEED, and he will talk about the Indonesian engineer development scheme and role of university and polytechnic as Engineering Higher Education institute based on his implementation experience of "JICA Project for Research and Education Development on Information and Communication Technology in Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITS)" in Indonesia.
TUT intends to support Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (EEPIS), Indonesia in order to enhance the quality of education at EEPIS and confer the doctoral degree in engineering for EEPIS teaching professions. The seminar aims to stimulate the discussion on how we could enhance function and quality of education in engineering higher education.
