Since inception, ICCEED has been cooperating with developing countries to enhance their engineering education through two kinds of activities: (1) research and development of formulating, operating, and evaluating projects for international cooperation in engineering education and (2) research for developing practical human resources for international cooperation in engineering.

Since April, 2010, ICCEED has been playing an additional role of facilitating international exchange and alliances in Toyohashi University of Technology in various ways.
