International University Exchange Programme for Young Engineers
-Considering "Sustainable Society" from the field of manufacturing-

Background

Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) has been organizing international exchanging activities since the foundation of the university through ODA projects in ASEAN countries.

TUT has also conducted student exchange programme with universities in Indonesia since 2003.

This student exchange programme provides students with opportunities to expose them to international academic atmosphere as well as to learn English communication skills and the role of engineers.

Objective of the Programme

• To understand the responsibilities of engineers for international society
• To improve English communication skills through group discussions
• To expose students to international atmosphere and provide a diversity of culture

Principal Programme

• Student seminar on education system and considering "Sustainable Society" from the field of manufacturing
• Laboratory visit in ITB
• Factory visits to Japanese companies in Indonesia
• Cultural study visit in Bandung and Jakarta
