Application Guide Application Guidelines
Please check everything carefully before application.
Qualifications and Conditions Applicants must fall under any of the following (1) to (4) and fall under (5) and (6) and have been recommended by their academic advisor, regardless of their nationality.
  1. Those who entered a doctoral program in the Graduate School in April 2019 and are currently in the second grade
  2. Those who entered a doctoral program in the Graduate Scholl in October 2019 currently in the second grade
  3. Those who entered a doctoral program in April 2020 and are currently in the first grade
  4. Those who entered a doctoral program in October 2020 and are currently in the first grade
  5. Those who fall under any of the above (1) to (4) and who intend to obtain a doctoral degree from TUT within the standard period of study.
  6. Those who are healthy in mind and body, and excellent in academic achievements.
Amount 125,000 yen/month
Period Two (2) years or Three (3) years after grant decision up until completion of the doctoral program (standard period of study).
Application Period Monday, October 19, 2020 - Friday, November 6, 2020, 5:00 pm (Japan time)
Application Procedures Please submit the following documents to the International Affair Division by the designated deadline.
  • Application Form (Form 1)
  • Letter of recommendation from TUT supervisor (Form 2)
  • Research plan (Form 3)
  • Certificate grade transcript for each academic year from the last university attended
  • Documents to prove your language ability (English and Japanese)
